Search
You can access the search feature from the left panel - it looks like a magnifying glass and is accessible from wherever you are on the platform. Using this feature, you can search for anything by just typing in a keyword.
When you click on the search feature, a window opens. Here, you can either type in the words for your search or you can choose one of the shortcuts - Create new dashboard and Create new exploration. Analytics also allows users to search through documentation if required. The Search window can also be opened using the Cmd+K or Ctrl+K keyboard shortcut.
Sorting
All sections inside Analytics (Explorations, Dashboards, Collections, Derived Columns, Metrics, and Catalog) allow users to sort the list views inside each section. The lists are sorted by default based on the Updated At column and this can be changed using the arrows next to each property in the list. Clicking the up arrow sorts the list in ascending order and clicking the down arrow sorts it in descending order.
To open an exploration or any other feature in a new tab, you can use the following shortcut:
- Control + Click (if you are a Windows user)
- Command + Click (if you are a MacOS user)
