Connect to data sources

As part of your application creation, you can establish connections to the data from which your application pulls that data. A connection is a pipe between the Analytics service and your data warehouse. Analytics issues queries to your data warehouse through a connection. Currently, Analytics supports connections to the following warehouses:

Create a connection​

To create a connection, complete the following:

  1. Go to Data > Connections.
  2. Click + New, and choose the data warehouse connection type you want to connect.
  3. Enter the required details and configure the warehouses.
  4. Test the connection health and click Save.

You can also create connections from the Catalog.

  1. Click Catalog on the panel.
  2. Select Connection from the Catalog. 
  3. Click +New > Connection. A window displays the data source types that your Analytics application can ingest.
  4. Enter the required details and configure the warehouses.
  5. Test the connection health and click Save.

Delete a connection​

To delete a connection, complete the following,

  1. Inside the connection window, click the three dots and Delete.
  2. A dialog box will display and ask you to confirm the deletion.
  3. Click Delete to remove the connection.
