New Template - Impact
The Analytics Impact template enables the study of the behavioral patterns of actors, such as users, to drive retention and reduce churn. It helps increase product adoption by analyzing the proportion of actors that return to use your product. Running an impact analysis allows you to measure engagement of retained actors with your product.
Distribution of actor measure
The concept of distribution of actors has been enabled on the Impact and Event Segmentation templates. When the measure is set to frequency in the Impact template, a set of bins are automatically created - users are binned by the number of times they have performed an action. When users are binned or grouped this way, Analytics users are able to see a detailed, stacked line graph where they can see the count of users that fall into each bin. The same feature is available for the 'Average event count per actor' measure in the Event Segmentation template.
Drop-down suggestions from join context
There are many places in the Analytics app where the user is prompted to select an object (i.e. column, derived column, metric, dataset) from the catalog. Depending on the context, only some of these objects make sense, based on what dataset they are associated with. For example, when selecting an attribute for a funnel exploration, the selected attribute must be a property of the funnel's actor dataset. If the funnel actor is Users, then the attribute should be a column of Users, or a column of something which is related to Users, such as Accounts (each user belongs to one account). With this new feature, our catalog-picker dropdown suggests only options which make sense in the current context.
Updates in Beelines
- Beelines can now be opened in a new tab to help users drill-down their exploration in detail.
- A new beeline was added: Retention template To Churned cohort. From the retention chart, users can create a cohort of users who were not retained (churned). Read more
- New Beelines from specific funnel template measures (time and % conversions from one stage to another) to other templates and cohorts have been added.
Update in Funnel template
Analytics now allows users to specify that a stage of the funnel must occur within some time after a preceding stage.
