Beelines are new ad hoc data analyses forking off from a point in the result of an exploration. The context of the forking point is propagated to the new analysis where the user can continue further analysis. Whenever you create a new beeline (from the original tile or from a beeline tile), a new beeline tile will be created to the bottom and an automatic scroll would happen.
The following beelines can be created from a path analysis:
Paths to Funnel
Now that we have created a path analysis from a funnel, let us learn how to perform the reverse of this process - creating/viewing a funnel from a path analysis.
Show funnel from selected nodes in the path
This beeline creates a funnel using the nodes you select from your path analysis. To create this beeline,
- Navigate to Explorations and choose a path analysis of your choice.
- Here, select the nodes that you want to create a funnel for, right click on any node and choose Show funnel from selected nodes. This creates a beeline with a funnel.
- If required, you can slice and dice this exploration further using the Open in Explorer option.
Other options
There are also a bunch of other options that you can choose from when you create beelines. In a path analysis, when you right click on a node, you will see options such as Focus node, Hide node and Clear selection.
- Focus node - allows you to focus on one node or a couple of selected nodes.
- Hide node - hides the selected node.
- Clear selection - lets you clear any selection that had been made earlier.
Paths to Visual Explorer
You can also navigate from a path analysis to a visual exploration.
Explore users at selected nodes
If you want to create a funnel to analyse selected nodes in a path analysis.
- Navigate to Explorations and choose a path analysis of your choice.
- Right click on any node and choose Explore users at selected nodes. This creates a beeline with a visual exploration.
- If required, you can slice and dice this exploration further by right-clicking and using the Drill-down option or you can save it as a cohort.
