Organizing experiments and campaigns best practices for Optimizely Web Experimentation

As your optimization program grows, your Optimizely Web Experimentation project will include more and more experiments. Sifting through them can be overwhelming.

Below, we provide a few tips to help you find and organize your experiments and Personalization campaigns.

Archive and un-archive experiments

Consider archiving experiments that are no longer active, so they do not show up in your project. You will still be able to reference and un-archive the experiment if you like.

To archive an experiment:

  1. Navigate to the Home page.

  2. In Optimizely Web Experimentation, click the Actions (...) icon next to the experiment you want to archive and select Archive.

To un-archive an experiment:

  1. Navigate to the Experiments dashboard.

  2. Click the dropdown menu and select Archived.

  3. Select an experiment's Action icon (...) and click Unarchive.

You cannot un-archive an experiment that is part of a running campaign. You must pause the campaign, un-archive the experiment, and then start the campaign again.
