A project's Account ID is tied to the account that created the project. Different Account IDs display if you have access to multiple accounts. For information about changing accounts, see Switch between multiple accounts.
View Account ID
To view your current Optimizely Experimentation account's Account ID, go to Account Settings > Plan.
To view a specific experiment or campaign Account ID, follow the instructions for the type of project you are using.
Optimizely Web Experimentation or Optimizely Performance Edge
Go to the project and select the experiment you want to view.
Go to API Names. The Account ID is listed under Experiment Details.
Optimizely Personalization project
Go to the project and select the campaign you want to view.
Go to API Names. The Account ID is listed under Campaign Details.
Optimizely Full Stack project
(legacy projects created before February 2021)
Go to a specific experiment.
Select API Names. The Account ID is listed under Experiment Details.
Optimizely Feature Experimentation project
To view the Account ID associated with an Optimizely Feature Experimentation flag, you can do so in the API Values tab.
To access the project's datafile:
- Go to the Optimizely Feature Experimentation project you are targeting.
- Select a flag from the Flags tab.
- Click API Values.
- The Account ID value is located under the Flag Details.
Contact your Customer Success Manager for information.
Add users to multiple accounts
Optimizely Experimentation and Optimizely Personalization lets users log in to multiple accounts. Here is when this feature comes in handy:
- You are an agency or consultant who manages multiple Optimizely customers, and you want to be a collaborator on your clients' accounts
- You are a customer with a centralized testing team that manages multiple accounts in your organization
To be added to multiple accounts, ask the Administrator or Project Owner of the account (depending on the permission level you need) to invite you.
- Select the project to add a collaborator and go to Settings > Collaborators.
- Click Invite a Collaborator.
- Add the email address, select the collaborator role, and select the language.
- Click Add (+) to add more.
- Click Remove (x) at any time to remove an email address.
- Click Invite.
Switch among multiple accounts
With multiple accounts, you can switch between your primary account and any other account you were added to.
Change account names
Account administrators can change the account name.
- Go to Account Settings > Plan.
- Click Edit.
- Enter the desired account name in the Account Name field.
- Click Save.
After the account administrator changes the account name, the new name displays in the user's account options.
Access Optimizely Experimentation support with multiple accounts
When working with multiple accounts, they might have different levels of support.
To contact Support, access the Optimizely Help Center by selecting ? in the application. If you do not see Create a Ticket or View Ticket under Contact our Support team, you may be logged into an account that does not include Support options. To resolve this:
- Click Log Out next to your profile picture.
- Go back to the Optimizely Application and log in with the desired account.
- Return to the Optimizely Help Center and select Create a Ticket.
This signs you in based on your last-accessed Optimizely account and shows you the support options for that account. See File online tickets for Support.
