The following items list functionality available in Full Stack today, but are not yet complete in Flags. These items are not technical blockers and do not prevent you from migrating to Flags. But, if having the functionality listed below is essential to your project, you may want to consider delaying your migration to Flags.
- Legacy Full Stack project contains a Feature Test with an "off" variation
- REST API usage
- Jira integration
- Contentful integration
Legacy Full Stack project contains a Feature Test with an "off" variation
If your legacy Full Stack project contains a Feature Test with an "off" variation, the variations will remain off in your migrated project. Having off variations does not block you from upgrading, but you should assess what to do with your off variations before migrating.
How to check
- Select the Experiments tab.
- Select the Feature Test you would like to check.
- View the experiment's variations.
- If any variations are set to "Off," your project is not eligible to upgrade.
Example of an experiment with an "off" variation:
variation_1 is set to off:
In Flags, you no longer toggle Feature Test variations on and off. Instead, there is one default Off variation that can be used across all Rules.
Because of this, you cannot turn the Off variation back On.
- Turn all variations "on" before upgrading to Flags.
- Delete any feature tests containing an "off" variation.
REST API usage
Full Stack Flag version comes with a new REST API that replaces a subset of the existing REST APIs functionality. If you are currently managing the configuration of Legacy Full Stack projects, features or experiments with the REST API, you may need to update your code to use the new API. Migrating before making required updates may result in broken functionality.

Jira integration (until built)
The following have not yet been completed for Flags version:
- Out-of-the-box integration between Full Stack and Jira.
If you upgrade to Full Stack Flags version now, you will lose the functionality of the Jira integration. For the most up-to-date information on Full Stack Flag version's feature parity items delivery timeline, review the developer documentation.
