Ineligible to migrate to Optimizely Feature Experimentation from Optimizely Full Stack Experimentation due to experiment having more than 10 whitelisted users

  • Updated

If your current Optimizely Full Stack Experimentation project contains the following scenario, your project will NOT be able to migrate to Optimizely Feature Experimentation. We have suggested some possible solutions, but you must decide how you would like to correct the issue for your project.

Scenario

Your project is not eligible to upgrade to Optimizely Feature Experimentation if you have more than 10 whitelisted users.

How to check

  1. Select the Experiments tab.
  2. Select one of the experiments you want to check.
  3. Select Whitelist.
    • View how many User IDs you have whitelisted.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for all experiments in the project.

Technical reasoning

In Optimizely Feature Experimentation, you are only permitted to allowlist 10 users

Whitelist has been renamed to Allowlist in Optimizely Feature Experimentation.

Possible solution

Remove users from the allowlist to bring the total user count to 10 or below.
