DMS Drag-Drop Hangs with Firefox 17 and higher

Changes to Firefox versions 17 and higher.

As a note the drag and drop functionality was removed in version 8.6 of the Ektron product line, so these steps would be relevant only for versions 8.5 sp3 

Follow these steps to upgrade to the latest version (3.2.4) of Ektron's DMS Firefox Drag Drop handler extension.

First, check your Ektron Drag Drop version by navigating to Firefox's Tools menu and clicking Add-Ons, then Extensions from the left panel.

If you have Ektron Drag Drop version 3.2.0 or higher

  1. Click the Tools menu Check for Updates.

  2. See message Ektron Drag Drop will be updated after you restart Firefox.
  3. Click Restart Now to restart Firefox.
  4. Notice that Ektron Drag Drop 3.2.4 is installed.

If you have an Ektron Drag Drop version below 3.2.0

  1. Click Tools Add-ons Extensions in the left panel.
  2. Remove the current version of Ektron Drag Drop.
  3. Download the file here: ekdragdrop.zip
  4. Click Install Now.
  5. Restart Firefox.
