Description

Having extremely long taxonomy names can case issues when working with aliases. You should create taxonomy names with a manageable size. However, it is possible that if you translate an English taxonomy to another language or vice versa, you could exceed the 100 character limit in the language to which you are translating.

Resolution

The maximum length of a taxonomy name is 100 characters.

If a taxonomy name exceeds 100 characters it will be truncated to the first 100. You should have a strategy to account for and accommodate potential names that exceed 100 characters.
