Payment Service enhancements
- Added an Apple Pay Setup tab to the Payment Service that guides administrators through certificate setup. The tab provides step-by-step wizards for the Payment Processing certificate and the Merchant Identity certificate, and a helper that converts the Apple Pay Domain Verification file to Base64 for pasting into Configured Commerce admin settings. See Apple Pay setup.
- Added translation support to the Payment Service. The Payment Service micro-frontend now renders labels in the Admin Console's selected language.
- Upgraded the Payment Service to .NET 10. The Payment Service project now target net10.0 in place of net8.0, so partners running the Payment Service locally need the .NET 10.0 SDK installed.
Configured Commerce enhancements
- 5.2.2605 and higher – Added Admin Console audit log entries for visits to the Payment Service micro-frontend and for changes to Payment Service configuration, matching the logging coverage already in place for other Admin Console pages.
- 5.2.2606 and higher – Added Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) support through Stripe Application Performance Monitoring (APM) (Klarna, Afterpay/Clearpay, Affirm, and Zip) over the Spreedly Payment Service integration. Administrators turn on Buy Now, Pay Later Enabled in the Spreedly settings group and mark a payment method with the new Is BNPL toggle. The storefront then renders the Stripe payment element on the Review & Submit step, and the new Buy Now, Pay Later completes the redirect flow and submits the order. See Buy Now, Pay Later payment methods.
March 2026
Payment Service enhancement
Added tooltip descriptions to the Merchant Profile, SCA Provider, and Add Gateway forms that provides field-level guidance for users to understand configuration options directly in the interface.
Configured Commerce enhancements
- 5.2.2603 and higher – Added support for the Verify transaction type in Payment Service. Verify transactions let you validate a payment method without charging it, which is useful for card-on-file and subscription scenarios. This feature does not apply out of the box; customers who need it can implement it through extensions. Note: 3D Secure is not currently supported for Verify transactions. See Implement verify a card transaction type.
- 5.2.2604 and higher – Added the ability to log request and response payloads exchanged with Payment Service within Order Management > Payment in the Admin Console. When enabled, this logging helps troubleshoot payment issues and audit gateway-specific field customizations. Sensitive data is automatically masked.
