Agents in Optimizely Opal are purpose-built AI agents that complete specific, well-defined tasks. They operate in a single-shot model. You provide inputs, the agent runs once, and it returns a result.
In Opal, Opal Administrators can create, customize, and manage agents using prompts, input variables, tools, and creativity settings to automate tasks accurately and efficiently.
Access your agents
- Go to home.optimizely.com
- Select your organization.

Select Opal.

Click Agents.

Select the Your Agents tab.
Create an agent
See Create specialized agents or Create a workflow agent depending on what type of agent you want to create.
Use an agent
Agents can be used in the following ways:
- Triggered by @ mention in Opal Chat.
- Triggered within a workflow agent.
Edit an agent
See Manage specialized agents or Manage workflow agents.
If you use Opti ID, administrators can turn off generative AI in the Opti ID Admin Center. See Turn generative AI off across Optimizely applications.
