Manage Optimizely Opal tools to control which tools are active, available in Opal Chat, and synced to your registries.

Find a tool or registry

Use the following steps to locate a tool or registry in your Opal instance.

  1. Go to Tools > Tools or Tools > Registries.
  2. Search for your tool or start entering a name or description in the search text field.
  3. (Optional) Use the Provider, Active Status, Enabled in Chat, and Tool Type drop-down lists to filter your tools or registries.

Activate or deactivate a tool

When Active is toggled on, Opal Chat and agents can call the tool. When Active is toggled off, the tool is not available anywhere in Opal.

Find the tool you want to update (see Find a tool or registry). Toggle Active on or off for individual tools or an entire tool registry.

Enable a tool in Opal Chat

When Enabled in Chat is toggled on, Opal Chat can use the tool. When Enabled in Chat is toggled off, Opal Chat cannot call the tool, but agents still can.

Up to 128 tools can be enabled in an Opal instance at a time.

Find the tool you want to enable (see Find a tool or registry). Toggle Enabled in Chat on or off for individual tools or an entire tool registry.
