Retention cohort block

Use a retention cohort block to identify a set of users who were retained.

Configure the block with the following fields:

  • Measure – Select if you want to see the users who were retained at an interval or churned at an interval. In the corresponding of field, select the dataset you want to analyze. In the as field, select if you want to see bounded or unbounded retention.
    • Unbounded retention – Measures actors that meet the retention condition on a particular time interval or later.
    • Bounded retention – Measures actors that meet the retention condition on a particular time interval, such as a day.
  • At – Select the time at which you want to measure retention. In the corresponding after field, select event or timestamp.
    • If you select event as the value, choose whether you want to count the first occurrence, the first ever occurrence, or the last occurrence.
    • If you select timestamp, select a value for the timestamp.
  • Up until – Select the cutoff time.
  • Condition – Select the retention condition.
  • Time range – Select the time range for the analysis.

Output

The output produced by this block is the cohort of users retained during the defined time range.
