Optimizely consistently updates Optimizely-managed agents. To maintain their integrity, Optimizely locks certain fields that you cannot directly edit. To tailor an Optimizely-managed agent to your specific requirements, create a copy. You can fully customize the copied agent and modify any field to suit your needs. Creating a copy gives you full control over its configuration, so your customizations remain stable and unaffected by future automatic updates to the original Optimizely-managed agent.

When you add an Optimizely-managed agent to a workflow agent, a prompt asks whether you want to create a copy. This ensures automatic updates to the original Optimizely-managed agent do not unexpectedly alter your critical business processes in workflows. Accepting this prompt creates an editable copy of the agent for your workflow.
