Import a workflow agent

  • Updated

Import a workflow agent to share it across multiple Opal instances or with other teams. Upload or paste its JSON configuration to complete the import. If you are working within a single Opal instance, Duplicate a workflow agent instead.

Before importing an agent, download or copy a workflow agent as JSON.

Complete the following steps in Opal:

  1. Go to Agents > Your agents.
  2. Click Add agent.
  3. Select Import Agent.Screenshot of the Add agent drop-down list where Import Agent is highlighted
  4. Paste the JSON or drag and drop the .json file.

  5. Click Next.
  6. (Conditional) If you have existing agents with the same @ID (the unique identifier assigned to each agent), choose to create a copy of the agent or overwrite the existing agent.

  7. Click Next.
  8. (Conditional) Review any trigger reconfigurations needed. For example, when importing a workflow agent with a webhook trigger, Opal generates a new URL.

  9. Click Import Agent.

Opal imports the workflow agent and all the individual agents it contains. The following image shows the import status for each agent in the workflow:

When the import completes, Opal displays a confirmation. Click Open Workflow to view and edit your workflow agent.
