How to update the Solr user account's password

The Solr user account password changed.


On the Solr Server make the following updates to reflect the new password:

  1. Right click and edit the properties of the following services:
    Ektron Process Manager Service X.0
    Ektron Admin Service
    Ektron Asset Transfer Client 2.0
  2. App Pool in IIS:
    EktronSolrSearchX.0 
  3. Update the Ektron Solr Administration page.
  4. Go to the Ektron Solr Admin page Search System Management (tab next to site registration)
  5. Update the Search Service Account
  6. Restart the Ektron Solr services and then the EktronSolrSearch Application Pool.
  7. Check to see if search results are returning.
  8. If not recycle the app pool of the CMS website.

If the account is also tied to the Solr_Config database, the password will need to be updated in the following locations:
