Basic and Advanced Workarea Search

This article explains the two types of search available in the Workarea, and some potential uses.

Access the two search options from the workarea by going to Content> Action > Search. 

Basic search utilizes the Ektron search provider. If your site search is not working or is not behaving properly, try using the workarea's search. You may need to examine your search code if results are not showing, the result set is incomplete, or the results return slowly as compared to basic search.  

Advanced search queries the database directly, making it useful if search is down or you have the exact ID or other parameter to retrieve the desired content.
