When you configure Ektron CMS400.NET to work with Microsoft Search Server, you identify a Windows user with access to the search indexes. If you later change the password for that user, you must update several screens with the new password. Until youcomplete all steps, the crawl does not run, and the event log shows an "Access Denied" error.

To update the password in all required places, follow these steps on the server that hosts Microsoft Search Server.
1. a.Go to Start > All Programs > Ektron CMS400v85 > Utilities > Search Config. |
2. Open IIS manager > Application Pools. Stop the SharePoint Central Administration and SharePoint Web Services Root pools. |
3. a. On the Application Pools screen, select SharePoint Central Administration. |
4. Repeat Step 3 for the SharePoint Web Services Root pool. |
5. Restart the the SharePoint Central Administration and SharePoint Web Services Root pools. |
6. a. Within IIS, navigate to the Services screen. |
7. Repeat Step 6 for the SharePoint Server Search 24 service |
8.a. Open the SharePoint Central Administration panel. |
9. Perform an IIS Reset. |
10. Run a Full Crawl of your CMS400.Net Web site. |
