Import product templates
You can import product templates in bulk. Use the provided import template (SampleProductTemplateImport.xlsx
) to add product templates or update details for existing product templates. See Format product template data for import to PIM.
The import template provided in PIM has multiple sheets to define the template, assign its properties and assign property values when appropriate. Data defined on the different sheets does not need to be imported together, allowing you to create templates and update them with properties and property values later. Older single-sheet import template files can still be supported.
- Click Imports. The Imports list page displays.
- Select Import Template > Download Import Properties.
- Download the Properties template if you have not already formatted your import file. See Format properties data for import.
- Drag and drop the file onto the Imports page.
You can also click Import, locate your file, and click Open. The system automatically detects the file and sets the Import Type to Properties. If it selects a different import type, verify the file matches the template and reupload it.
- Click Import.
If you receive any validation errors, the tabs/sheets with errors will be red in the generated file. Resolve the errors before importing again. You can download the provided file to view error messages specific to each row.
- View your import progress on the Imports list page. A log of the import also displays on the page when it is complete.
