Mission Control access

  • Updated

Contact the organization admin to add you to their organization in Opti ID. Opti ID provisioning configures an organization admin for the customer who is most likely the technical contact on the contract.

The organization admin must log in to the Opti ID Admin Center and assign the user a Mission Control role. See the available roles.

For information on Opti ID and using the Admin Center, see Manage the Admin Center.

You can define a process for managing Opti ID access: route all requests through the organization admin, or grant other users admin access for self-service.

Partner access

Implementation partners have separate organizations from customers. To access customer environments in Mission Control, partners must configure the following:

  • Enable Opti ID and Mission Control for the partner organization.
  • Assign the partner user a Mission Control role in their partner organization.

To satisfy the above requirements, partners must submit a ticket with Optimizely Support to update the organization for Mission Control use. After Mission Control is enabled, the partner can assign themselves any role they want within their home organization.

The partner can then request Mission Control access from the customer's organization admin to access customer organizations. The following two methods provide approval and access:

  • Request access from the customer directly (preferred) – The customer logs in to the Admin Center and assigns the partner a Mission Control role. See Get started with Opti ID.
  • Request access through an Optimizely Support ticket – Submit an Optimizely Support ticket and request approval from the customer. Optimizely includes the customer's technical contact on the ticket. If the customer approves, Optimizely assigns the partner a Mission Control role.

Available roles

All roles have access to the same views within Mission Control. The differences between the roles relate to which actions a role can perform. See the Actions section for information.
