Optimizely Campaign 11.4 was released on Wednesday, May 14. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Only relevant target groups available for test messages
When sending test messages, only the target groups that are actually used in the message draft can be selected for rendering the test message.
Improved tracking of opens
Partially rendered emails are now by default counted as opens and in campaigns using the Design Editor for emails, the placement of the tracking pixel was improved.
Fixed: Font issue with system links in synchronized rows
Using a system link in a synchronized row changed the font to monospace.
Fixed: Problem with special characters in page selector
For Design Editor pages, the page selector displayed HTML character codes instead of special characters.
Rollout: AI Writing Assistant
The Design Editor for emails and landing pages now offers AI support for writing. It is available for the content elements text, heading, list and button.

Test Email dialog restyled; HTML Editor sheet restyled.
Fixed: Link parameters missing
If a JavaScript field function was only used to get a parameter in a link, it was not properly evaluated and the link parameter was missing in the sent emails.

Optimizely Campaign 11.2 was released on Tuesdy, April 15. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Option to set Noindex and Nofollow for landing pages
Customers can now indicate if they want search engines to index their pages and follow links or not.
Fixed: Sending test messages for single Opt-in message drafts did not work
The Send Test Message dialog of single Opt-in message with CMS content could not detect contained mime types, therefore the buttons for sending test emails were missing.
Campaign 11.1
Optimizely Campaign 11.1 was released on Wednesday, April 2. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Preview of text version shows only content without display conditions
The preview of an email's pure text version no longer shows all content but only the content without display conditions.
Improved validation of sender & subject data
In the Design Editor for emails, data validation related to sender & subject now applies the same checks as in the old Template Kit Editor.
No more special characters in local parts of sender addresses
Special characters in the local parts of sender addresses are no longer allowed because they caused bounces.
Removed 24h warning on domain setup screen
When the validation in Campaign is successful, new domains can be used immediately.
Fixed: Simultaneous editing of one message draft not blocked
The Design Editor for emails allowed opening of the same message draft by two users simultaneously.
Fixed: Option for ignoring blocklist entries did not work for opt-in messages
When an option for ignoring spam-related blocklisting was active, recipients who were blocklisted because of mailbox provider feedback, still did not receive opt-in messages for which the blocklist entry was expected to be ignored. Now, when the option is active, a blocklisted recipient can partake in a new opt-in process which removes him from the blocklist.
Campaign 10.45
Optimizely Campaign 10.45 was released on Wednesday, March 19. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Target group simulation for test emails
When sending test emails for message drafts created in the design editor for emails, you can now select a target group for rendering the test email.
Target group sorting for showing selected target groups on top
In the Sender & Subject and Display Conditions dialogs of the design editor for emails, users can now sort target groups so that currently selected target groups are displayed on top of the list.
UI fixes and improvements
The styling of some menu elements was updated; When opening a message draft for editing, the text in the page selector was updated more often than required; the UTM parameters in a dropdown in the Tracking menu are now ordered alphabetically
Copy campaign with archiving options
When copying a campaign with archiving to another client, the archiving options are now also copied.
Text version added to test emails
When sending a test email, the text version is now included alongside the HTML version.
Safer password policy
New passwords now have to comply with a strong password policy.
Fixed: Sending domain and reply-to address incompatible with target client
When copying a campaign using the design editor for emails to another client, the sending domain was copied to the target client and in some cases, users could not change it.
Fixed: Sync failed because of duplicate ODP values
Synchronizing a recipient list with ODP failed if ODP provided values for the same field twice.

Performance in Activity Overview
In Analytics > Activity Overview, the performance of filtering was improved.
Fixed: Incomplete validation in coupon barcode configuration
When defining a coupon bar code, the validation of the entered values was incomplete.
Fixed: Incomplete title of the Link Validation page
When a message draft's name contained special characters (&, <, >, ", `, '), this name was missing on the page Link Validation.
Fixed: Rendering error in settings dialog of wait node
When escapeHtmlForMessageTagParameters was enabled, some elements in the settings dialog of the wait node were not rendered correctly.
Fixed: Incomplete confirmation message for opt-in processes
When starting an opt-in process, the confirmation message was not fully shown.
Campaign 10.43
Optimizely Campaign 10.43 was released on Wednesday, February 19. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
More columns per row
Email message drafts can now contain up to 12 columns in each row, instead of the previous 6.
UI fixes and improvements
In the start campaign dialog, "<br>" was displayed; resizing the tracking link window caused a display error; some other minor fixes.
REST API supports transactional campaigns with multiple message nodes
The REST API now has the required endpoints for managing transactional campaigns with multiple message nodes.
Archiving with design editor
Transactional campaigns using the design editor now support message archiving.
Fixed: Error with design editor in private window
Editing a message draft or a landing page in a private Firefox window led to an error message.
Fixed: Firefox crash when clicking Edit or Settings in CMS
After clicking settings or edit on a paragraph, the CMS page started loading the content and crashed the Firefox tab.

Cross-client copying for campaigns
Campaigns using the Design Editor for emails can now be copied between clients within the same organization.
Background color for bar codes
Users can now set a background color for bar codes generated by a field function.
Validation of bar code dimensions
Inputs for bar code dimensions are now validated and automatically changed to the nearest allowed value when out of range.
Restyled Sender & Subject dialog
The dialog now provides improved scaling for big screens.
Campaign 10.41

Improved validation for URL parameters
The validation of manually entered parameters in the URL Parameters tab is now more precise.
Reporting for transactional messages
The Response Data Export (Mailing Log Job) now supports transactional messages (including a/b tests) in addition to event messages.
UI fixes and improvements
The page for editing bar codes now has a fitting title; the display behavior of drop-down menus in scrollable areas was improved
Fixed: Wrong result in link validation
In rare cases, link validation shows a 403 error for links that actually work.
Fixed: Missing push events in ODP
Sent push message where not recorded in the recipient's profile in ODP.
Fixed: Error when trying to access sending domain in browser
With some configurations, when recipients attempted to open the sending domain in a browser, they saw an error message. Now, the domain can no longer be configured in a way that leads to this error.
Fixed: Wrong replacement logic for duplicated parameters
When URL parameters for a link where defined on link level and on message draft level, the message draft level parameters were ignored. Now, the message draft level parameters are kept and only when a parameter key is used again on link level, does it overwrite the message draft level parameter with the same key.
Campaign 10.40
Optimizely Campaign 10.40 was released on Wednesday, January 8. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Wait node for Batch Sending API
Batch sending campaigns now support a wait node that starts sending at a configurable time of day after the campaign is activated.
UI fixes and improvements
Improvements in the coupon block UI; better positioning of loading spinner icon; fixed missing text when changing click profiles; improved UI on the page Edit Synchronization Task; fixed click profile window inside the Tracking Link window of an email node.
Add Tab for URL parameters in the Tracking menu
A tab for editing URL Parameters (aka Tracking Link Extensions) on message draft level was added to the Tracking menu.
