Share and collaborate

  • Updated

You can share any object in the Analytics catalog with other users or groups if you have share privileges. For more details on authorization and access control, see Authorization and Access Control.

View current access levels

Click Share to see who can access any object and their access level. You can also view a list of users and groups with their corresponding access levels.

The access level displayed is explicitly assigned to the object by Analytics. Some users may have implicit access based on their role (for example, an Org Admin has access to everything), which is not displayed here.

Share privilege

You have share privilege for an object if you have Can Edit access level for that object.

Embed an exploration in another page

You can embed an exploration in another web page, wiki, or internal portal from the Embedding tab in the Share dialog. The embedded visualization stays live and reflects the exploration's current configuration. Embedding is only available for explorations and dashboards.

Embedding does not make a visualization public. Optimizely Analytics enforces access per viewer, so the embed renders only for signed-in users who have access to the exploration. Viewers without access do not see the visualization.
  1. Open the exploration you want to embed.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Select the Embedding tab.
  4. Copy the embed code:
    • Click Copy iframe code to copy a ready-to-use iframe snippet. Paste the snippet into the HTML of the page where you want the visualization to display.
    • Click Copy source link to copy the direct embed URL. Use this link to reference the visualization without the iframe wrapper.
  5. Paste the code or link into your destination.

The iframe snippet uses responsive width and height, so the visualization fills the container it sits in.
