Create cards

  • Updated

Efficiency Dashboards in Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP) let you create customized cards to see the data you want.

Card types

You can use Efficiency Dashboards with the following card types:

  • Tasks by Status – Visualize a set of tasks by their status. For example, Show me the status of all the blog post tasks in our Back-To-School Campaign or Show me the status of all of the tasks in the month of May.
  • Tasks Completed – Visualize a set of tasks that are completed. For example, Show me all the tasks that we completed in Q1 2024 or Show me all the landing pages we launched in the EMEA region in 2024.
  • Lead Time – Visualize a set of tasks by how long they stayed open in the system. For example, Show me how long white paper tasks stay open in the system on average or Show me how long Bob's tasks stay open on average.
  • % Completed on Time – Visualize a set of tasks by the percent (%) of time they are completed by their due date. For example, How often are our NA tasks completed on time? or How often are we on time for 2025?
  • Lead Time by Step – Visualize a set of steps in a workflow by how long they stay open on average. For example, How long on average are blog post workflows stuck in legal review? This only works for rigid workflows.

Configure a card

When you select a card for a use case, you can configure the card's Group ByPivot By, and Filter values.

  • Group by – Determines what is on the X axis of the chart. For example, grouping by Campaign shows bars on a bar chart (or line for a line chart) for each campaign in the system.
  • Pivot by – Splits a bar or line into its component parts. If you group by campaign and then pivot by status, you get a bar chart split into component bars that are split by status.
  • Filters – Limits the scope of the Y axis count or the number of items displayed on the X axis. For example, you can filter for specific campaigns to limit the number of bars on the chart, or filter by a particular region to limit the count on a bar or line.
You can filter further with Filter Groups. For example, you can filter by multiple fields grouped with an "OR" (like North America OR EMEA OR Asia) and by a date.

You can group by and filter on the following values:

  • Campaigns
  • Fields
  • Users
  • Teams
  • Time Period
    • Filter By
      • Created At
      • Due Date
      • Last Updated
      • Date Closed/Completed
    • Group By
      • Period (Day, Week, Month, Quarter, and Year)

For example, if you select the On-Time Performance card, you can see what the on-time performance is for tasks, grouped by Month, pivoted by Campaigns, and filtered to Content type Is Blog and Creation date Is after 1 Quarter ago.

You can also use the Settings icon on the chart to change the Plot Options, such as the Display Limit. These options vary, depending on the type of chart you choose.
