The CMP library addon for the Design Editor for emails

  • Updated

Basics

You can manage images for your email campaigns directly in Optimizely Campaign. However, if you prefer managing your assets in Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP), that is also possible with the CMP library addon.

This works through the content element Image (CMP) which you see in the Design Editor for emails if the feature is activated. If you would like to have this feature in your client, please contact Optimizely Campaign Customer Support.

For more on the CMP library, see the library overview in the Content Marketing Platform documentation.

Adding an image from the CMP library

Prerequisites: You are logged in in Optimizely Campaign and CMP. The CMP library addon is available in your Campaign client. You see a message draft in the Design Editor.

  1. In the side panel, go to the tab Content.
  2. Drag an element of the type Image (CMP) to the design area.
  3. In the new element, click Choose image.
    → The CMP library displays.
  4. Find and select the desired image as usual in the CMP library.
  5. Click Choose.
→ The CMP library closes. You see the Design Editor in Campaign. Your Design contains the new image.

Changes in the CMP library

Images added from the CMP library are referenced in your message draft, they are not copied to Campaign. This means that your message draft will always contain the latest version of an image from the CMP library. In contrast, individual emails that were already sent to recipients will not be affected by changes in the CMP library.
