Populate Firebase credentials for Mobile App push notifications

  • Updated

Use this Mission Control action to update the target Optimizely Configured Commerce instance with the Firebase credentials required to enable Mobile App push notifications.

This action only applies to Configured Commerce customers who have the Configured Commerce Mobile App and want to use push notifications. See Push notifications.

Steps

  1. Log in to Mission Control.
  2. Go to Customers and select a customer.
  3. Select a target Configured Commerce instance.
  4. Click Actions on the instance page and select Update Configuration for CFG Mobile Push Notifications.
  5. (Optional) Schedule the action by toggling Scheduled Execution to On and selecting a time and date.
  6. Review the details to confirm the selected instance (and scheduled time, if selected). You can ignore any greyed-out or immutable fields because they are for development or debugging.
  7. Enter the JSON value for the Firebase service account key in the Firebase Credentials field. See Download service account key from Firebase to retrieve this.
  8. Click Continue. If scheduled, the action runs at the specified time. Otherwise, the action runs immediately.
  9. Wait until the status is marked as Complete on the Action Request page. Upon success, the action associates the Firebase credentials with the target CFG Commerce instance.

If the action fails, submit a ticket with Optimizely Support with a link to the failed action request page.

  10. Complete a base code deploy on the Configured Commerce instance to enact the change.
