Access the Account ID and Multi-account login

A project's Account ID is tied to the account that created the project. You will see different Account IDs if you have access to multiple accounts. For information about changing accounts, view the Switch between multiple accounts section.

View Account ID

To view your current Optimizely Experimentation account's Account ID, go to Account Settings > Plan

To view a specific experiment's Account ID, follow the instructions for the type of project you are using.

Optimizely Web Experimentation or Optimizely Performance Edge Project

To view the Account ID associated with an Optimizely Web Experimentation or Optimizely Performance Edge experiment, go to the project and then select the specific experiment you want to view.

Next, select API Names. The Account ID is listed under Experiment Details.


Optimizely Full Stack Project

(legacy projects created before February 2021)

To view the Account ID associated with a legacy Optimizely Full Stack experiment, go to a specific experiment.

Optimizely Feature Experimentation Project 

To view the Account ID associated with an Optimizely Feature Experimentation flag, you can do so in the API Values tab. 

To access the project's datafile:

  1. Go to the Optimizely Feature Experimentation project you are targeting.
  2. Select a flag from the Flags tab.
  3. Click API Values.
  4. The Account ID value is located under the Flag Details.

Add users to multiple accounts

Optimizely Experimentation lets users log in to multiple accounts. Here is when this feature comes in handy:

  • You are an agency or consultant who manages multiple Optimizely Experimentation customers, and you want to be a collaborator on your clients' accounts
  • You are a customer with a centralized testing team that manages multiple accounts in your organization

To be added to multiple accounts, ask the Administrator or Project Owner of the account (depending on the permission level you need) to invite you. 

  1. In the project to which you want to add a collaborator, go to Settings > Collaborators.
  2. Click New Collaborator.
  3. Add the email address and select the collaborator role.
  4. Click Invite.


Switch among multiple accounts

With multiple accounts, you can switch between your primary account and any other account you were added to.


Change account names

Account administrators can change the account name.

  1. Go to Account Settings > Plan.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Enter the desired account name in the Account Name field.


  4. Click Save.

After the account administrator changes the account name, the new name displays in the user's account options.

Access Optimizely Experimentation Support with multiple accounts

When working with multiple accounts, it is important to note that they might have different levels of Support. Access to different levels of Support may vary.

To contact Support, access the Optimizely Experimentation Help Center by selecting ? in the application. If you do not see Create a Ticket or View Ticket under Contact our Support team, it could be because you are logged into an account that does not include Support options. To resolve this:

  1. Click Log Out next to your profile picture in the bottom left corner.
  2. Go back to the Optimizely Experimentation Application and log in with the desired account.
  3. Return to the Optimizely Experimentation Help Center and select Create a Ticket.

This signs you in based on your last-accessed Optimizely Experimentation account and shows you the Support options for that account. See File online tickets for Support.
