Set up Classic CMS roles

  • Updated

Classic CMS reached end-of-life in January 2025 and is no longer receiving feature updates or bug fixes. You should work with your partner or development team to migrate to Spire CMS.

To add, edit, review, and approve content in the Admin Console or Classic CMS, Optimizely Configured Commerce users must be assigned the appropriate roles:

  • ISC_ContentEditor – Users may add and edit content
  • ISC_ContentApprover – Users may preview, approve, and publish content
  • ISC_ContentAdmin – Users may add, edit, preview, approve, and publish content. Additionally, this role can create and edit page templates.

Although it is not a requirement, users with the ISC_ContentApprover role should also have the ISC_ContentEditor role to make minor edits to content prior to approving the revision.
