Description

This article describes an error message that happens when trying to configure AD in Ektron. The full error is seen below.

com: user prop not provided EmailAddr1 -HC[UserApi->UpdateAdMapping]

Resolution

This issue occurs if the account used to configure AD is a non-Admin level account (like builtin). To resolve this issue please use the admin account or an admin level account.

The Builtin account is not by default an admin account. The intent for it is minimum access for license and some other basic settings.

IMPORTANT: You should only use the builtin account temporarily. As soon as possible, you should insert the license key and log in under a user name assigned in Ektron.
