Time zone field is required

After you install Ektron, or after you upgrade your existing environment to a new version, the following error may occur when you create a new user in the Workarea or with the API:  Time Zone Field is Required

By default, the timezone custom user property is enabled and required on new installations and upgrades.

You have 2 options:

• Specify a valid default timezone setting whenever you create a new user. See Create membership user using API for information about adding the time zone property to the userdata.
• Disable the default timezone property if you are not using it. See Making a default selection for the Time Zone property for information.
