Unable to search for Membership Users in the Workarea with Active Directory

Administrators report the option to search for membership users with the configured Active Directory Integration is not available in the user interface.

The ek_LDAPMembershipUser key in the web.config is not configured properly for this option.

In the documentation for Managing the web.config File there is a key called ek_LDAPMembershipUser.

Integrate membership users with LDAP or Active Directory. Set the value to True for Membership Users to be authenticated using LDAP/AD.

If this key is set to then the section in the Workarea > Settings > Community Management > Memberships > Users > Add Membership User will look like the following.
