Performance issue caused by smart form group boxes

When trying to add a new group box to a smart form that contains multiple group boxes the workarea may encounter performance issues such as unresponsive java script errors.

Due to the way that the CMS parses information an excess of group boxes being added to a single smart form, or multiple large group boxes may cause performance related issues.

Although this functionality has been improved in the latest version of Ektron our support team does recommend against leveraging excessive group boxes within a single smart form. The number of group boxes that can be added to a smart from is dependent on how elaborate the group box is, with larger group boxes seeing this issue before smaller group boxes.
