There are several steps required to index Smart Form fields. See details below.
Here are the steps to index a Smart Form property.
If creating the Smart Form for the first time.

Choose Workarea > Settings > Configuration > Smart Form Configuration.
- Click 'Add Smart Form', give it a title and click save.
- As you are creating fields a modal window comes up. In the top right is a checkbox labeled 'Indexed.' Check this box and click OK.
- Once the Smart Form configuration is completed, click UPDATE at the top of the screen.
- The next screen is labled Edit Full Text Search. You must click UPDATE again for your Smart Form properties to be indexed.
Now new Smart Form content with the above Smart Form configuration can be indexed. For existing Smart Form configurations, here is what you would do.
- Choose Workarea > Settings > Configuration > Smart Form Configuration.
- Click Data Design.
- Right click on the field you wish to index and click field properties.
- In the top right is a checkbox labeled 'Indexed.' Check this box and click OK.
- The next screen is labled Edit Full Text Search. You must click UPDATE again for your Smart Form properties to be indexed.
- Delete the crawl database(please note this will make search results unavailable).
- Make sure the old index data is deleted (on machine installed Solr, visit C:\Program Files (x86)\Ektron\Search2.0\Solr\server\solr\cores{core-name} and delete all existing files).
- Register the site with the "start over" option.
- Wait until the crawl process is completed.
