Google Analytics implementation requires a testing process. Optimizely recommends implementing Google Analytics on your Sandbox site first and verifying accurate event tracking before recreating the tracking on your Production site.

Complete the first two steps below twice—once for Sandbox and once for Production—before moving to the third step.

  1. Set up Google Analytics for your website.
  2. Set up Google Tag Manager with GA4.
  3. Install snippet via the Admin Console.
  4. Complete the go live checklist for Optimizely provisioning.
