Optimizely Reporting for ODP

  • Updated

View dashboards and reports for Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) using Optimizely Reporting, which you can access through your Opti ID account.

Prerequisites

  • You must have an Opti ID account.
  • Your Opti ID user account must have a role for an ODP instance.
  • Your Opti ID user account must have a role for Reporting. This is assigned to users in your organization by default, so you should not have to configure this yourself.

Site navigation

Log in to Optimizely Reporting through the following URL: https://home.optimizely.com/. Select Optimizely Reporting or use the product switcher in the global navigation bar.

After you log in, your product instances and dashboards display on the landing page. Each product instance has pre-defined dashboards. Click a dashboard to view it.

The dashboards include tooltips for each metric and graph that explain what data each metric and graph displays. To view the tooltips, hover over the information icon.

On each dashboard, you can complete the following:

Filter dashboards

Each dashboard has filters you can use to further refine the data. The last time the system refreshed the data displays. Any time you adjust the filters, you must click Reload to apply your new filters.

Expand, download, and view dashboard tiles

To expand a tile on a dashboard, click Tile actions > View > Expanded. From the expanded view, use the left and right arrows to scroll through other dashboard tiles. To view the data on full screen, click Full Screen.

  1. Click Tile actions > Download data.
  2. Select your desired Format.
  3. (Optional) Expand the Advanced data options section and adjust how to format the data for the download.
  4. Click Download.
For some file format types, you can click Open in Browser to view the results in a new browser tab.

Specific dashboard tiles have the option to view a visualization (chart or table) by clicking the data on the tile. For that visualization, you can

  • Expand and view the filters for the data.
  • Choose to view the data as a Visualization or Table.
  • Download the visualization.

For some visualizations, you can adjust the data that displays by clicking the data sets, similar to a toggle where you turn the data set on or off. Similarly, for any dashboard tiles that display a pie graph, you can adjust the data sets you want to include.

Troubleshoot

Users who do not have the necessary access receive the message shown in the following image when trying to access Optimizely Reporting:

By default, Optimizely Reporting access is assigned to the Everyone group in the Opti ID Admin Center, which includes all users in your organization. If a user in your organization cannot access Optimizely Reporting, the issue is likely that they do not have a role assigned to their user account for ODP.

To resolve this issue, assign the user access to ODP directly through an ODP product role or through a group in the Opti ID Admin Center. See View user details and edit access for help with editing the user account's access in the Opti ID Admin Center.
