Overview of Opti ID

  • Updated

Opti ID is the single sign-on (SSO) solution for Optimizely products. It provides a single login point where you can switch between your Optimizely products with just one authentication. It also provides a single location to manage your users for each Optimizely product.

Opti ID provides the following benefits:

  • Unify your Optimizely products under a single login URL (https://login.optimizely.com/).
  • Access to Optimizely Opal, Optimizely Reporting (for Experimentation, Optimizely Data Platform (ODP), and Opal), App Directory, Optimizely Connect Platform, and centralized Support resources.
  • Switch between Optimizely products without re-authenticating using Opti ID's global navigation bar.
  • Manage your users, groups, roles, and more for your Optimizely products in one Admin Center.
  • View usage and billing dashboards in one location for each of your Optimizely products. The usage and billing dashboards are available for the following products:
    • Commerce Connect
    • Content Management System (PaaS)
    • Content Management System (SaaS)
    • Collaboration
    • Content Marketing Platform (CMP)
    • Experimentation (Feature Experimentation and Web Experimentation)
    • Optimizely Data Platform (ODP)
    • Optimizely Opal

Opti ID also provides the following optional features:

  • Configure Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) or OpenID Connect (OIDC) SSO through your identity provider (IdP), or keep local login. Opti ID lets you configure up to five SSO connections.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) through Opti ID for local login, or through your IdP for SSO login.
  • Use System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) provisioning with Opti ID to securely automate and manage user identity information. If you create multiple SSO connections, you can only use SCIM for one of those SSO connections.

Opti ID is currently available for the following Optimizely products:

  • Analytics
  • Campaign
  • Commerce Connect
  • Configured Commerce
  • Content Management System (PaaS)
  • Content Management System (SaaS)

After the technical contact configures Opti ID using the instructions in the Get started with Opti ID article, users can log in through login.optimizely.com or your branded company subdomain (for example, mycompany.login.optimizely.com) and access their assigned Optimizely products. See the interactive demo for logging into Opti ID.

Home dashboard

After you log in, the home dashboard displays. Here, you can access your Optimizely products. Select a product tile or use the Home drop-down list in the global navigation bar to switch between products without needing to re-authenticate.

Only administrators can access the Optimizely Admin Center tile.

If you are affiliated with multiple organizations, you can use the organization drop-down list to switch between them without needing to re-authenticate. The home icon denotes your home (primary) organization.

You can remove a user from additional organizations, granting them access only to their home organization. If you remove a user from their home organization, they are completely removed from Opti ID.
