Build a funnel analysis

You can create a funnel analysis to determine the number of users converted to each stage based on their searches and the content they played. 

  1. Go to + > Funnel.
  2. Name your funnel, add a description, and choose the folder to place it in.

  3. Choose a measure from the drop-down list. For example, choose Converted to each stage and select the Users dataset.

  4. Set the different stages for the funnel. Each stage tracks different events, and you can reorder using drag and drop. Select events from the Product Events dataset and configure the stages as follows:
    • Stage 1 – Home page
    • Stage 2 – Browse and Search 
    • Stage 3 – View content details 
    • Stage 4 – Play Content. Set a time range filter by clicking the time range filter icon, navigating to the Relative to Event tab, and setting the condition: Within 1 day after the previous stage, choose Stage 1. Click Apply.

  5. Set the time grain for your analysis in the visualization window and click Run.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Click More (⋮) > Edit visualization to change the chart settings. Here, you can change the chart type, color, size, and so on.

You can set multiple filters inside funnels. You can reference parameters inside filters to fine-tune your exploration whenever you create filters. Learn more about parameters.
