The OCP database is not included in the free version of OCP. The free version syncs data in real-time without using the OCP database, letting you access public apps and data syncs.

The WordPress app lets you sync post content from your WordPress instance to Optimizely Connect Platform (OCP).
This app imports the WordPress data to OCP, where you can then use the Sync Manager to sync this data to your other Optimizely products.
Install and configure the app
- Go to Data Setup > App Directory.

Select the WordPress app.

Click Install App. The Settings tab displays.
- Complete the following in the Authorization section, and then click Authorize.

WordPress API URL – Enter your WordPress instance URL, like
https://www.example.com/wp-json
. - WordPress Username – Enter your WordPress instance username.
- WordPress API Application Password – Enter your WordPress instance API application password to let this app request data from your WordPress instance.

- (Optional) Complete the following in the Actions section:
- Import recently modified – Click to import all content on the initial run, and on all subsequent runs, only the content that you have modified since the last import.
- Import all – Click to import all content items, regardless of modified time and whether they are stored already.
After you complete this setup, your WordPress posts sync to OCP. Complete the following section to sync your WordPress data out of OCP to other Optimizely products, like Optimizely Graph.
Sync WordPress data to other Optimizely products
- Go to Data Setup > Sync Manager.
- Click New Sync.
- Enter a Sync Name, like WordPress Products to Optimizely Graph.
- Complete the following for the sync source:
- Source – Select OCP database.
- Object – Select the data type that you want to sync from WordPress, like WordPress Post.
- Complete the selections for your sync destination:
- If you select Content Graph (now called Optimizely Graph) as the product to which you want to sync your WordPress data, you must also select the Instance, Object, Status, and Language.
- If you select OCP App as the product to which you want to sync your WordPress data, you must then select the App and Object.

Connect specific WordPress fields with your chosen destination fields in the Field Mapping section.
To autopopulate the field mappings based on your chosen source object, select Inherit Source Object in the Object drop-down list of the Destination section, and then click Apply.
- Toggle off any field mappings that you do not want to sync (all are on by default).
- Select the Sync Schedule cadence. For example, select Every 1 hour to sync WordPress data to your chosen destination once per hour.
- Click Save. Your Shopify data now syncs to your chosen destination on your chosen schedule.
- Repeat these steps if you want to sync WordPress data to different destinations.
