Configure the Brandfolder app

The OCP database is not included in the free version of OCP. The free version syncs data in real-time without using the OCP database, letting you access public apps and data syncs.

Use the Brandfolder app in Optimizely Connect Platform (OCP) to connect OCP to your Brandfolder instance, import your Brandfolder asset metadata, and receive real-time changes to assets through Brandfolder webhooks. After you sync the data, use OCP data syncs to integrate this data with your other Optimizely products.

Install and configure the app

  1. Go to Data Setup > App Directory.
  2. Select the Brandfolder app.

  3. Click Install App. The Settings tab displays.

  4. Enter your Brandfolder API Key in the Authentication section, and then click Save.

  5. Expand the Configuration section and enter a comma-separated list of the Brandfolder IDs you want to sync, or enter an asterisk (*) to sync all your Brandfolders.
  6. (Optional) Toggle on Sync Approved Assets Only to sync only assets that you have marked as approved.
  7. Click Save.

Sync Brandfolder data to other Optimizely products

  1. Go to Data Setup > Sync Manager.
  2. Click New Sync.
  3. Enter a Sync Name, like Brandfolder Assets to Optimizely Graph.
  4. Complete the following for the sync Source:
    • Source – Select OCP App.
    • App – Select Brandfolder.
    • Object – Select the data type that you want to sync from Brandfolder, like image.

  5. Complete the settings for the sync Destination:
    • If you select Optimizely Graph as the product to which you want to sync your Brandfolder data, you must also select the Instance, Content Type, Status, and Language.
    • If you select OCP App as the product to which you want to sync your Brandfolder data, you must then select the App and Object.

  6. Connect specific Brandfolder fields with your chosen destination fields in the Field Mapping section.

    To autopopulate the field mappings based on your chosen source object, select Clone Source Schema in the Content Type drop-down list of the Destination section, and then click Apply.

  7. Toggle off any field mappings that you do not want to sync (all are on by default).

  8. Click Save. Your Brandfolder data now syncs to your chosen destination.

  9. Repeat these steps if you want to sync different Brandfolder data to different destinations.
