Content Recommendations is one of Optimizely's personalization solutions that helps you analyze your website's content, understand customers, and provide tailored recommendations to boost customer engagement and sales. Optimizely Content Recommendations provides the following benefits:

To configure Content Recommendations for your company, see the developer documentation to complete the following steps:

  • Deploy tracking script – Deploy tracking script manually, through the CMS NuGet package, or through the Tag Manager for user identification, event tracking, and content recommendations. 
  • Configure sections and flows – Configure sections (categories of content) and flows (sets of rules to trigger an action) to organize your content effectively and make improved recommendations.
  • Configure deliveries – Configure delivery widgets with the assigned section.
  • Deploy widgets – Install content blocks on a webpage.

Manage account settings

You must manage your users and roles in the Opti ID Admin Center. For information, see the Opti ID user documentation. If you have not migrated to Opti ID, contact Optimizely Support, or see the following roles:

  • Admin – Can create and edit properties, sources, content lists, flows, sections, deliveries, IP address filters, and domain allowlists. Can create master filters. Can view everything else in Content Recommendations.
  • Editor – Can create and edit content lists, flows, sections, and deliveries. Can view everything else in Content Recommendations.
  • Viewer – Can only view everything in Content Recommendations (no editing access).
