You can create the UPS carrier record in Optimizely Configured Commerce.
Go to Admin Console > Shipping & Fulfillment > Carriers and click Add New Carrier. Enter data in the fields as described below.
Carrier Information
- Name – UPS
- Description – UPS
- Contact Name – Name of the carrier contact
- Contact Phone – Phone number of the carrier contact
- Contact Email – Email of the carrier contact
- Image Path – Image to display (optional)
- Primary Carrier – Determines if the carrier is the default option.
- Enabled – Enables or disables the carrier.
- Tracking URL –
https://wwwapps.ups.com/tracking/tracking.cgi?tracknum=[traCkingnUmber]
Carrier Account Setup
- Rating Service – UPS
- Test URL –
https://wwwcie.ups.com/rest/Rate
- Live URL –
https://www.ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate
- Live – Determines whether the live or test URL is used for this carrier. Set to Yes only when using a rating service for live-rated calls.
- Use OAuth – Determines if OAuth 2.0 authentication is used.
If you lease Use OAuth disabled, complete the following fields:
- Account Number – UPS account number
- User Name – Account username for the carrier's website
- Password – Password for the Access Key
- Access Key – UPS username (sometimes called User Key). This should be a string of numbers and letters.
If you enable Use OAuth, the above fields are hidden. Complete these fields instead:
- Account Number – UPS account number
- Client Id – UPS client id
- Client Secret – UPS client secret
Click Save when you have finished.
UPS standard ship codes
The following list is the standard ship codes for setting up carrier rating for UPS. Enter these codes in the Ship Code field in the Services tab:
- 01 – UPS Next Day Air
- 02 – UPS 2nd Day Air
- 03 – UPS Ground
- 07 – UPS Worldwide Express
- 08 – UPS Worldwide Expedited
- 11 – UPS Standard
- 12 – UPS 3 Day Select
- 13 – UPS Next Day Air Saver
- 14 – UPS Next Day Air Early AM
- 54 – UPS Worldwide Express Plus
- 59 – UPS 2nd Day Air AM
Admin Console settings
After configuring the UPS carrier record, you can edit additional settings in the Admin Console.
- Use Residential Shipping Address – If Yes, sets the residential flag when rating UPS shipments. This is a global setting for all calls to UPS and is currently not customer or address-specific. Default value: No
- Request for Negotiated Rates – If Yes, the negotiated rates flag is included in UPS rating service requests. Default value: No
- Log Rating Service Call – If Yes, UPS rating service calls are saved to the dataset folder. Default value: No
