Edit header link names

The base installation of an Optimizely Configured Commerce site contains a Link List widget in the header with links to four pages:

  • About Us
  • Contact Us
  • Quick Order
  • Location Finder

If these names need to be edited or if other pages need to be quick linked, edit the widget as follows.

  1. After signing in as a Content Editor or ContentAdmin, hover over the blue triangle in the upper left corner, and select Show CMS.
  2. Select the Content Tree icon.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click Header.
  5. Click the small Edit icon on the Link List widget.
  6. Select either a Horizontal or Vertical list.

  7. Click Browse to select a different page, or click Add to add a new page.
  8. Click Save.

Next, edit the names of the listed links and their respective URLs.

  1. Click Edit next to the Content Tree tab.
  2. Click the arrow next to Home to expand the page hierarchy.

  3. Select a page.
  4. Click Edit Page in the upper right corner.
  5. In the Title field, modify the page name.
  6. In the URL field, modify the URL segment.

    The new URL must be publish before the URL breadcrumb can be reviewed.

  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Publish to push changes to the live site.

    At present, the page name in the left navigation pane is not editable without customization. Overriding the page creation code requires development time.
