Create a specialized agent from JSON

Use JSON to configure the same specialized agent across multiple Opal instances, or to share agent configurations with other teams. If you are working within a single instance, copy the specialized agent instead. See Manage specialized agents.

Download a specialized agent as JSON

Before importing, you must export the agent from an existing Opal instance. See Download or copy a specialized agent as JSON in Manage specialized agents.

When you export a specialized agent, files added to the agent are not exported. The JSON includes a link to the file stored in the originating Opal instance. Ensure users in the target instance have access to that file, or upload the file again after importing.

Upload a specialized agent from JSON

  1. Go to home.optimizely.com.
  2. Select your organization.
  3. Click Opal, then click Agents.
  4. Click Add Agent and select Upload Agent.

  5. Paste the JSON or upload the .json file.
  6. (Optional) Toggle Overwrite existing agents on to replace an agent with the same Id in this instance.
  7. Click Import Agent.

The specialized agent is added to your Your Agents list.
