Notifications overview

  • Updated

Optimizely Opal notifications alert you when agents are modified, activated, deactivated, or deleted, and when agent executions complete or fail. Respond to agent changes and execution failures without checking execution logs. Notifications display in the Optimizely Opal UI and, when configured, by email. No additional setup is required, notifications are on by default for agents you own.

Notifications tray

The notifications tray gives you quick access to recent notifications without leaving your current page. Click Notifications in the global header to open the tray. Notifications displays a red badge with your unread count.

The tray supports the following actions:

  • Open a notification to go to the related content.
  • Dismiss individual notifications.
  • Mark all notifications as read.
  • Click View all notifications to open the Notification Center.

See Notifications tray for details.

Notification Center

The Notification Center is a full-page view for browsing, filtering, and managing all notifications. Open it from the notifications tray or go to the Notification Center tab in the Opal navigation.

Notifications support two states:

  • Read – A notification you have already viewed.
  • Unread – A notification you have not yet viewed.

Interacting with a notification marks it as read. Mark all notifications as read or unread in bulk, or dismiss individual notifications you no longer need. Filter notifications by category, status, agent, priority, or time range using the filter bar.

See Notification Center for details.

Notification types

Opal delivers the following notification types:

  • Agent modified – When an agent you created is edited by someone else.
  • Agent activated – When an agent you created is activated by someone else.
