The Notification Center is a full-page view where you can browse, filter, and manage all notifications in Optimizely Opal.
Access the Notification Center
Reach the Notification Center in one of two ways:
From the notifications tray
- Open the notifications tray from Notifications in the global header.

Click View all notifications.
From the navigation
Click Notification Center in the Opal navigation.
The page header displays the title Notification Center alongside a badge showing the total unread count (for example, 2 unread).
Filter notifications
The Notification Center includes a filter bar with the following options.
Category filter
Filter notifications by category. Options include All, Agent Execution, or Agent Updates.
Status filter
Filter notifications by read state. The following options are available:
- All – Displays all notifications regardless of read state.
- Read – Displays only notifications you have already read.
- Unread – Displays only unread notifications.
Agent filter
Filter notifications by the agent that generated them. Select a specific agent from the drop-down list, or choose All Agents to see notifications from every agent.
Priority filter
Filter notifications by All, Critical, High, Medium or Low priority. See Notification types and priorities for details.
Time filter
Filter notifications by time. The following options are available:
- All Time
- Last Hour
- Last 24 Hours
- Last 7 Days
- Last 30 Days
Notification table columns
Each notification displays as a row in the table.
The following descriptions correspond to the numbered callouts in the previous image:
- Checkbox – Select individual notifications for bulk actions. Select the column header checkbox to select all notifications on the page. Unread notifications display a red indicator dot.
- Notification – The notification icon, title, and message. Unread notification titles display in bold. Hover over a notification to see the full message in a tooltip.
- Category – A label indicating the notification category. Agent Execution is the only available category.
- Timestamp – The date and time Opal created the notification.
- Priority – A badge indicating the notification priority: Low or High.
- Actions – A More menu with per-notification actions.
Take action on individual notifications
The Notification Center supports the following per-notification actions.
Open a notification
Click any notification row to go to the related content. Opal marks the notification as read. The destination depends on the notification type.
- Chat execution notifications – The chat thread where the execution ran.
- Workflow execution notifications – The workflow execution detail page.
Use the actions menu
Click More in the Actions column to access the following options:
- Mark as read – Marks the notification as read. Available for unread notifications only.
- Mark as unread – Marks the notification as unread. Available for read notifications only.

Dismiss – Permanently removes the notification.
Perform bulk actions
Select one or more notifications using the checkboxes to reveal the bulk actions bar.
The bar displays the number of selected notifications and provides the following actions:
- Mark as read – Marks all selected notifications as read.
- Mark as unread – Marks all selected notifications as unread.
- Dismiss – Permanently deletes all selected notifications.
Click Mark all as read to mark all notifications as read. This action applies to all notifications, not only the selected ones.
Pagination
The Notification Center uses pagination. Use the pagination controls to move between pages.
Notification types and priorities
The following table describes the notification types available in Opal, their categories, and priority levels:

| Agent activated | Agent updates | High | An agent you created is activated by someone else. |

| Chat execution completed | Agent Execution | Low | A chat-triggered agent execution finished. |
| Chat execution failed | Agent Execution | High | A chat-triggered agent execution encountered an error. |
| Autonomous workflow completed | Agent Execution | Low | A scheduled or triggered workflow execution finished. |
| Autonomous workflow failed | Agent Execution | High | A scheduled or triggered workflow execution encountered an error. |
