Conductor Intelligence in Optimizely Opal

See how your brand appears in AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini directly inside Optimizely Opal. Conductor Intelligence connects to Opal through a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection. Opal displays Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) data alongside your workflows. Act on insights without leaving Opal.

How it works

Conductor Intelligence queries AI search engines on your behalf and collects the responses. The data flows to Opal through the MCP connection. Opal displays the results alongside your existing workflows.

You also receive a Conductor platform login. Use it for advanced analysis in the Conductor application.

Get started

To use the integration, you must have an active Conductor subscription and access to Optimizely Opal. Conductor Intelligence is not available for accounts subject to HIPAA.

To get started, contact your Account Executive (AE) or Customer Success Manager (CSM) to add Conductor to your subscription. Then complete the following steps:

  1. Configure the MCP connector – See Conductor remote MCP connector to enable the integration for your organization.
  2. Authenticate – Log in to the Conductor connector through the Connectors tab in Opal.
  3. Install the agents – Go to Agents > Agent Directory in Opal and install the Conductor agents.

Conductor agents in Opal

Conductor data powers a set of Opal agents that find gaps in your AI search performance. Each agent pairs Conductor insights with other Optimizely products to produce content, campaigns, and outreach that close those gaps.

  • Conductor Competitive AI Share of Voice agent – Compares your brand against competitors across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity using Conductor Intelligence data. Provides an engine-by-engine and topic-by-topic breakdown. Highlights where you win, where you lose, and what to act on.
  • Conductor AEO Gap Finder agent – Finds high-priority AEO content gaps by analyzing your website against tracked competitors. Produces a report that identifies competitor topics that AI search engines cite and your brand misses. It closes with three immediate actions.
  • Conductor AI Brand Visibility Report agent – Delivers a specialist-level snapshot of your brand's visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. The report covers share of voice, engine breakdown, top topics, sentiment, and intent performance. It closes with three prioritized actions.

What this is not

Conductor Intelligence in Opal is not the following:

  • Real-time AI search monitoring – Conductor queries AI search engines on a schedule. Data refreshes when Conductor pulls new responses, not continuously.
  • A replacement for the Conductor app – The integration surfaces Conductor data inside Opal workflows. For advanced analysis, sign in to the Conductor platform separately.
  • A content authoring tool – The agents produce data, gap reports, and prioritized actions. Content authoring still happens in your existing CMS or CMP.
