The ZoomInfo Remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector in Optimizely Opal brings B2B company profiles, professional contact data, and intent signals directly into Opal. Use it to search for target accounts, enrich contact records, and research competitors without leaving Opal.
First, an Opal administrator must add ZoomInfo Remote MCP to Opal. After adding the MCP server, individual Opal users and agent builders log in to ZoomInfo to access their ZoomInfo information from Opal. Administrators only need to add the ZoomInfo Remote MCP once.
Connect ZoomInfo Remote MCP to Opal
Opal administrators connect and grant access to ZoomInfo from Opal. After granting access, administrators select which tools to enable in Opal and optionally customize their display names.
Add ZoomInfo connection
As an Opal Administrator, complete the following steps:
- Go to Connectors in Opal.
- (Optional) Enter ZoomInfo in the search bar to filter the connections list.
-
Click Connect on the ZoomInfo tile.
-
Log in to your ZoomInfo account.
- Configure the connector.
- Click Accept.
A confirmation message displays and you can close the pop-up window.
Configure Opal tools
After adding the ZoomInfo connection, Opal prompts you to select which tools to enable and optionally customize their display names.
As an Opal administrator, complete the following steps:
- Deselect any tools you do not want to add to Opal.
- (Optional) Update any tool's display name.
-
Click Finish.
The ZoomInfo tile displays Connect on the Connectors tab for Opal users to authenticate with their personal accounts.
To update the available tools or names, see Update tools.
Authenticate with ZoomInfo
Each Opal user and agent builder logs in to ZoomInfo individually to access their ZoomInfo data from Opal. User-level authentication ensures you access only the data your ZoomInfo account is authorized to view.
To authenticate, complete the following steps in Opal:
- Go to Connectors.
- (Optional) Enter ZoomInfo in the search bar to filter the connectors list.
- Click Connect on the ZoomInfo tile.
- Log in to ZoomInfo.
After you log in to ZoomInfo, the ZoomInfo connector tools your administrator added become available in Opal Chat, agents, and workflows.
ZoomInfo connector tools
The ZoomInfo connector tools are available in Opal after an administrator connects the ZoomInfo remote MCP to Opal and you log in to ZoomInfo. The available tools depend on which tools your administrator enabled. For a full list of available tools and actions, see the ZoomInfo MCP Overview in the ZoomInfo documentation for available tools and data.
Update tools
To rename, add, or remove tools, an Opal administrator must delete the ZoomInfo tools registry and re-add it. To do so, complete the following steps:
- Follow the steps in Delete a tool registry.
- Add ZoomInfo connection.
- Configure Opal tools.
If you use Opti ID, administrators can turn off generative AI in the Opti ID Admin Center. See Turn generative AI off across Optimizely applications.
