Share files, agents, and artifacts with Team Messages

Share files and agent-generated artifacts directly in Team Messages. Sharing in Team Messages keeps work and the discussion around it together, so teammates can act on what you send without leaving chat.

Attach a file

Attach a file to your Team Message to share a document, an image, or another resource with the conversation.

  1. Go to Team Messages.
  2. Select a conversation.
  3. Click Attach > File in the message field.

  4. Select the file to share.
  5. Click Upload.
  6. (Optional) Add a message to give the file context.
  7. Press Enter or click Send Message.

Share an artifact

Share an artifact to bring an agent-generated output, such as a draft or a report, into the conversation. Team Messages displays the artifact inline, so participants can review it in context and discuss it in the same place.

Share from the Artifacts page

To share the artifact from the Artifacts page, complete the following steps in Opal:

  1. Go to Artifacts.
  2. Click More > Share for the artifact you want to send.

  3. Select the Share to Team Messages tab.
  4. Enter the user, Virtual Teammate, group, or channel name.

  5. Click the user, Virtual Teammate, groups, or channel to share the artifact.
  6. Select the access level. For a description of each access level, see Share artifacts.

  7. Click Send.

A confirmation message displays. Go to the conversation to continue the discussion.

Share from the artifact details page

To share the artifact from the artifact details page, complete the following steps in Opal:

  1. Go to Artifacts.
  2. Click the artifact you want to share.
  3. Click More > Share.
