Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) harmonizes customer data, which leads to deeper understanding of your customer's behaviors in real-time. ODP collects, stores and makes available all of the most relevant data for your business by adhering to a few core concepts:
- Know everything about a customer: who they are and what they have done.
- Identify and resolve who the customer is across all systems.
- Make the platform flexible and adaptable.
- Have great integrations that enable more impactful and informed decisions.
- Make all data stored in ODP available through the API.
You can complete these steps in any order. Click any of the following to skip directly to that section:
- Configure additional integrations
- Manage account settings
- Build segments
- Analyze customer data using reports
- Get notified about ODP releases
Configure additional integrations
You can optionally configure additional integrations to bring more of your ecommerce and customer data into ODP. For more information about this, refer to our ODP integration articles. You can also import this data using some of our developer tools (Web SDK, REST API, React Native SDK).
Manage account settings
Configure and manage all of your company's ODP settings on the Account Settings page. This is where you can manage user accounts and their permissions, your account's time zone, alerts for errors in processes you have running in ODP, data objects and fields, compliance requests, and more. For more information, see our user documentation about ODP account settings.
Once you have customer data loaded and regularly syncing in ODP, you can build segments using the Customers > Segments page. A segment is a subset of your customers described by who they are or what they have done.
Segments help you understand your customer's behaviors and allow you to react accordingly. If you integrate your campaign management system with ODP, you can run targeted campaigns on your ODP segments.
For more information about creating segments, see Create segments.
Analyze customer data using reports
ODP has both pre-built and custom reports, allowing you to gain even more insights on customer behavior. Go to Company > Reports to familiarize yourself with these reports. For more information, see our user documentation on ODP reports.
Get notified about ODP releases
If you want to stay up-to-date on all of ODP's releases, including new features and resolved issues, follow our ODP release notes section.
This ensures that you receive an email notification any time we update the release notes within that section.
