[NOTICE] End of life announcement for Commerce Search v1

Effective February 1, 2026, Optimizely will discontinue support for Commerce Search v1, which is powered by Elasticsearch v5. As of that date, Optimizely will no longer include Commerce Search v1 in release regression testing and will not make any more base code updates.

Additionally, starting July 1, 2026, Optimizely will end infrastructure support for Commerce Search v1, and any live instances attempting to use this provider would experience disruptions.

All Configured Commerce Cloud clients using Commerce Search v1 must implement a new search solution by June 30, 2026.

Upgrade recommendation

Optimizely released Commerce Search v2 in July 2023 with Configured Commerce version 5.1.2307.3448.

Optimizely recommends that you upgrade to Commerce Search v2, which is powered by ElasticSearch v7 and offers enhanced stability, improved search capabilities, and ongoing support.

Commerce Search v3, which is powered by Google Vertex AI Search, was made generally available in September 2025 with Configured Commerce version 5.2.2509+sts.
